House rules

1. Due to the nature of Hanok, a wooden house, the following are prohibited: * Smoking is prohibited inside the house and in the yard. * Pets are not allowed, except for assistance dogs. * Cooking of food with strong odors or smoke is not permitted (ex. barbecue) 2. There is no parking space due to the nature of the area. Please use the Everyone's Parking Lot app to use a nearby parking lot. 3. There are stairs in the yard and bathroom. Special care must be taken when accompanying infants under 8 years old or elderly parents. The guardian is responsible for any accidents that may occur. 4. Unauthorized events or commercial filming are prohibited; all doors leading to the house are made of traditional door frames woven by artisans. In order to preserve the beauty of the Hanok, no sashes were used, so the use of alcohol such as champagne or powdered substances is prohibited.

This is Soseowon (逍徐院), a Korean traditional house with a large yard.

The Hanok, built in 1965, was renovated in 2012. It was built to reproduce the beautiful appearance of a traditional Hanok while also providing modern conveniences. The spacious yard and flower beds are enough to enjoy leisure while sitting on the veranda. It is a 10-minute walk from Gyeongbokgung Station and a 1-minute walk from the Blue House, and is close to the main road and police station, so you can stay safely and comfortably. Please experience leisure at Sosowon at a slow pace.
