Wonderful stay! Host was quick to respond and super friendly. Located in a quiet area yet close to restaurants, convenience stores, and local cafes. The apartment was beautifully decorated and felt very cozy.

A small but very cozy and thoughtfully designed place. The host was incredibly attentive, and all the little details made the stay feel warm and welcoming. I also really enjoyed the toiletries and amenities provided.
A few things to keep in mind: the room is on the second floor without an elevator, so carrying large suitcases upstairs can be inconvenient. It is located in an older residential neighborhood, with houses quite close to one another. Although the area itself felt peaceful and friendly, we occasionally heard noises at night and could sometimes hear voices from next door. It is also a bit farther from Hongdae on foot than we expected.
Overall, a charming and comfortable stay with a very thoughtful host.

总体来说是一次很满意的住宿体验，房东特别给我们准备了明信片，整体的装修也非常的好看，温馨。房东是一个很文艺很会生活的人，也祝你夏天快乐

非常完美的一次体验，相比于酒店，住在这里可以应合理的价格享受较大的空间。
位置非常好，出门2分钟就是公交车站，可以直接到达弘大，转乘地铁很方便，弘大也很好逛！当然了住所周围也有很多咖啡馆，餐厅，便利店！
房间很温馨，每天晚上都有回到家的感觉，第一次入住，刚踏进房间就有凉爽的感觉，房东已经早早开好了空调，还有美妙的音乐（就是后来几天我不知道要怎么打开了，不然还可以享受因为）。房间也很干净，各种设施都很齐全。
房东人也非常好！有什么问题都回答的很详细，响应也很及时！

性价比非常高的房源。这次临时决定去首尔，平时固定住的地方已经订不到了。选了这家也很不错！位置走到延南洞非常方便只需要10分钟。走路到弘大25分钟左右。还探索了附近的延禧洞
楼下的街上就有两家味道不错的餐厅
虽然离地铁站不近，但如果主要想探索弘大一带还是很方便的
下午有阳光时卧室的光线格外美，一整个下午听着房东选的曼妙音乐，很幸福

体验感非常好的一次住宿！第一次来韩国，有点紧张，但房东提供的详细信息让我们很快找到了住宿。一打开门就是超级好看的大厅，以及入耳非常有品味的音乐（音响效果很nice），整体居住空间很大，很适合两个人入住！以及在结束行程后，因个人疏漏把单个耳机落在了民宿里😭和房东沟通后，帮我找到了耳机！！！真的真的真的非常感谢！🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

해외로 나가기 전 살던 동네에 잡은 숙소입니다. 외국인 파트너에게 한국의 진정한 구옥을 보여주마 했는데 기대한 바이브여서 아주 좋았습니다.
아기자기한 디테일이 좋았고 수압 아주 셌으며 침구는 편안했으며 호스트분도 바로바로 응대해주셨습니다.
저는 한국의 오래된 빌라가 참 좋아요.
아쉬운 부분이 있다면 구옥이기 때문에 생기는 점이겠죠. 다음에도 또 가서 지내고 싶어요.

지하철과 가까워 접근성이 좋고 번화가로 이동하기에도 편리했습니다.
숙소에 들어가자마자 들리는 음악과 준비된 편지 덕분에 호스트님의 세심한 배려가 느껴져 기분 좋게 머물 수 있었습니다.
다만 맨발로 다닐 때 바닥에 먼지가 조금 느껴진 점은 아쉬웠습니다.
그 외에는 전체적으로 만족스러운 숙소였습니다.

I’d love the opportunity to stay at Normal Things again! It’s on a wonderful street with so many options from cafés to restaurants, I wish I could’ve had time to try them all. The apartment had everything we needed to be comfortable and was a peaceful place to stay. The aesthetic of the 숙소 is so homey and cozy, we absolutely enjoyed our stay here. It’s surrounded by cafes and it’s a 20 min walk to Hongdae!

Located in a lovely neighborhood in Mapo-Gu, the apartment is situated away from the hustle and bustle of Seoul. The amenities and convenience of the flat was listed accurately. The host was very sweet and responsive. The music setup was a very nice addition and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when I come back to Seoul!

Overall, the place is fairly comfortable, but it’s important to understand that it’s an older property with a cosmetic renovation. The bed and mattress were not very comfortable, which affected the overall experience.
On the positive side, I appreciated the small touches like coffee and provided toiletries such as shampoo.
However, considering the price is over $100 per night, expectations were higher. Overall, it feels like the listing relies heavily on attractive photos, which look better than the actual experience.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le système son, la décoration, mais aussi et surtout les instructions claires et recommandations utiles de l’hôte. Ici, le normal est extraordinaire.

We had a fantastic stay in Seoul. The apartment is in a great area, close to lots of restaurants, cafes, and izakayas. We also enjoyed the apartment being in a quite quiet part of Mapo-gu. It was exactly what we needed for a great week away in Seoul.

Very cozy, well organised, comfortable, minimalistic and charmy house.
The manual written by the host in the house was really helpful so didn’t have to contact the host. Great neighbourhood. Small lovely street, full of bookstores, bar, cafe and the best dumpling soup restaurant. Really loved staying there, already feeling home sick.

포근하고 단정한 곳이에요. 창밖으로 햇살이 환하게 들어와 숙소에만 있어도 답답하지 않았어요. 생각보다 식탁도 넓어서 2인이 노트북을 놓고 써도 넉넉했습니다. 숙소 주변 골목은 조용한데도 맛있는 음식점이 많아 재미있고요. 호스트님의 귀여운 쪽지를 두고 와 아쉽습니다. 다음에 또 이용하고 싶어요.

Very peaceful space and was welcoming from the moment we stepped in with heater on and music playing. Really nice ammenities with snacks and coffee available for guests. Overall space was really cosy and perfect for a 4 night stay! Would definitely visit again next time we are in Seoul!

Very cute, tidy home! Was easy to check into and definitely would recommend. The first snow of winter fell while we were staying which was a bonus.

Very lovely vibes and very convenient place about 5 mins from a train station. Loved the little decorative details of the place that make it feel like a home away from home. The only thing that I think would make the place perfect would be to provide normal sized towels for the bathroom

I really loved this place! It feels exactly like stepping into a Korean drama. The apartment is simple but very cozy and atmospheric, perfect for two people and great if you want something a bit romantic. There’s also a small room with a projector, which was super fun and would work well for anyone traveling with a child.
The neighborhood is a classic Korean residential area with small houses, lots of local restaurants, and cute cafés. At the same time, Hongik University/Hongdae is close by if you want more energy, shops, and nightlife.
I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it

The apartments interior is so well designed, from the plants, incense and old school sound system all the way down to the cool light switches, everything has been given careful thought and it gives the place a really chilled vibe. The area is also very quiet and peaceful, a short walk to Gyeongui Line Forest Park and many nice cafes. The apartment is well equiped with amenities for longer stays, whether its cooking in the kitchen, making coffee or just chilling and listening to music it quickly feels just like home.

교통이 비교적 안 좋아도 5분 거리내로 웬만한건 해결 할 수 있고 조용하고 청결하고 평화로웠습니다. 방 분위기도 정말 제 취향이었고 빈티지한 스피커로 좋은 노래를 감상할 수 있었습니다.

We loved our stay with normal things! The home is in a very safe neighbourhood, a 20 min walk from great outdoor markets and shopping. Restaurants and coffee shops 2-5 mins away in the same street. Close to bus stops and trains (and scooters available if you want to zip around and see the city a bit more). The space is calm and peaceful, super clean and cute. Had everything we needed. The host is really kind and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here.

We loved staying in this delightful home in Mapo-gu! Thank you for being such a wonderful and communicative host.

This place is super impressive, that it looks and feels exactly the same as the images show. The Host is very friendly and helpful, and he/she keeps this place in very good condition. The amenities allow us to have illy coffee at the morning and to cook Korean ramen as late night snacks. The welcome snack, the handwritten greeting card, and the Aesop hand soap, make my stay even more comfortable than imagined.
The location is good, having a convenient store and some small cozy restaurants and cafes nearby. It’s a beautiful community, very close to Hongdae.

I recently stayed at Normal Things and found the space ideal for couples, though it presented some challenges for separate travellers like ourselves. The host was excellent in communication, even leaving us a cute note, which added a personal touch to our welcome. The location is outstanding, conveniently close to superb coffee shops and a picturesque park, perfect for leisurely strolls into Hongdae. However, guests looking for separate sleeping arrangements should note that the second bedroom does not function as a traditional bedroom. Despite this, the charm and convenience of the location, coupled with the host's thoughtful communication, made for a positive experience.

This isn't your average 숙소; this is a prime example of what a listing on this app should strive for. First things first, the listing looks exactly as the pictures show. Pretty rare for most 숙소s, let alone for one that looks this good.
As long as you can read well, the instructions are comprehensive. The host is responsive. The area is walkable and accessible to transportation options. It is close to the Seonhyungui forest walk which leads directly towards major areas with lots to do. Awesome place

Wonderful location with cute restaurants and cafes all around. A quick walk to the subway and a 20 minute walk to Hongdae. 100% would recommend anyone staying here. When I come back to seoul I'd live to stay here again.

It was an enjoyable stay at Normal Things, the check in was super easy and clear with the host’s responsive reply. The place was just like the photos and everything described. It was cosy and homey once we entered the space. I particularly love the setting of the speakers because we can play whatever music we like! One thing to note is that the cable of the speaker seems not working really well, sometimes the music stopped or had some weird noise, so we had to manually restart everything when this happened. Anyway, it was absolutely worth it and i will come back the next time i visit Korea :)

Normal Things is a quaint and peaceful place to stay near Yeonnam and Gwaja area. We really appreciated the small details the host provided on our arrival, and also thought the extensive options for toothpastes were fun. If you want a quiet space where you can invite a few friends over for coffee and explore the exciting surroundings, this will be an ideal place. However there are two things that I found to be a small inconvenience. The bedroom is nice but the smaller window has no curtains, which means if you are sensitive to light like me you will wake up early. The other thing is that on the sides of the toilet there were a lot of pink and black mold. I think this should have been bleached and cleaned before our arrival. Other than that, it’s a pleasant place to stay!

We felt right at home after a long flight from Australia when we walked in and we’re greeted with calming music on a stormy Seoul night. The local cafes, restaurants and vendors are all very friendly and everything you need to start your journey in Seoul is within walking distance. The host was also happy to help out with any questions even before we arrived in the country.

I was a solo traveler and this place worked quite well! The neighborhood is super great, tons of great options nearby and a short walk away in Yeonnam-Dong. Nearby Ooze is great coffee, PITC is a cufe cafe nearby, and Popoya has a great kimchi katsunabe. The host is very helpful. The place is comfortable and calm. The main room has just the one window, but I didn't mind. As someone else mentioned, the bedroom is comfortable, though one the windows has a tinted shade but won't shut out light in the morning completely. The tinting makes it not too bright, so you can still sleep in unless you're sensitive (if so, bring a mask). The bathroom and projector room all worked well!

Lovely retro apartment in a quiet nostalgic neighborhood packed with great cafe and restaurants, really felt like a local while staying here. The host responses fast and is very thoughtful. the vintage speaker is really nice too!

It was lovely to stay at Normal Things.
Although the location is not in central but the neighborhood is really cool. Local people are very kind and lots nice cafes and restaurants.
You can live there like locals.
Con is that if you stay with a friend who doesn’t share one bed, if you are 3 of you then the smaller room doesn’t have AC so you might get hot during summer. There is circulator tho.
If you not used to heat for Asia you might struggle?
If you are couple it’s perfect!
There is no elevator so if you have big suitcases it might be hard too! Playlist was very good too!
All in all we enjoyed staying there!

I’ve stayed in 숙소’s all over the world, and this was one of the nicest 숙소 experiences I’ve had. The location rocks, the host is kind and super accommodating, the unit itself is very nice. No notes, highest praise. Vibes truly immaculate

모든게 좋았던 숙소였습니다.

不明点や質問に即座に返信してくれ、
安心して宿を使用することができました。
宿自体もとても素敵な空間で、滞在中宿に帰るのが楽しみになるような場所でした。
また、少し歩くとカフェ街もあり、周辺も楽しめるスポットがたくさんあり、遠くに出なくてもカフェや街並みを楽しめました。
次韓国に遊びに来る際も利用させていただこうと思います☺️

Love the aesthetic interior as well as the charm of the neighbourhood ! Beautiful parks, small cafes and restaurants nearby are great to explore !

숙소는 진짜좋아요 숙소위치나 숙소자체는 너무좋았습니다 주차는 따로 많이 알아보시고 가시면 최고입니다! 깨끗하고 동네도 조용합니다~ 추천해주신 맛집도 맛있었습니다~

We loved our stay here. Tucked away inside a peaceful neighbourhood of Hongdae with great cafes nearby. Is in walkable distance to the main areas of Hongdae also. The street was so quiet and we really felt like locals staying here. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Everything looks just like the photos, but better! The host was courteous and responsive, and the neighborhood was so pleasant to get lost in. One thing to note is that there are two flights of stairs with no elevator in the building, but I thought it was manageable. I loved my stay and would definitely come back!

It feels like home being there and the neighborhood is really cool! Transportation in Seoul is so easy that it doesn't matter if it looks far away from the center of Seoul. Its worth it!

beautiful place with nice retro decor :) everything was clean and comfortable. there a few cafe and restaurants in the area that were really good too. There are some stairs up to the apartment, so something to take note of!

We really liked our stay here! The appartment is very cosy, with a lot of beautiful details. The bedsheets are so soft! We also really liked the neighbourhood, there are a lot of nice restaurants and cafés in the street. Would definitely recommend this place!

It was a great time to take a rest and find myself. I hope to revisit the place someday I want to get relaxed.😁

사진과 일치하는 모습과 분위기 였습니다. 운영하시는 분의 인테리어 감각이 돋보이는 공간이었습니다. 조명,소품,벽 색깔도 맘에 들었어요. 자취의 뽕이 차오르는 곳입니다.ㅠ
빔프로젝터를 볼수 있는 방이 따로 있어서 영화볼 맛이 났고, 조명덕에 와인 마실맛도 났습니다.
연트럴파크 끝자락에 있어 그 동네를 함께 즐기기에 좋아서,추운날씨에 웨이팅 없이 맛집 (소점,나포리탄 강추/오이소 순대국도 괜춘)포장해 먹을수 있었어요.
주인장 분의 탁월한 감각과 이 숙소를 선택한 나자신을 칭찬하고 싶어요 ㅋ 또 뵙기를 바라며.. 다른 숙소도 만들어 주세요.ㅋ

숙소가 처음엔 이런 곳에 있나 했는데 오히려 더 감성이 넘치구 좋았어요! 화이트톤 우드톤 뻔한 숙소에 머물고 싶지않아서 여기로 선택했는데 너무 너무 만족스러웠어요! 특히 침대가 너어어무 편해서 꿀잠잤어요👍🏻👍🏻 이런 곳에 혼자 살면 너무 좋겠다고 생각이 들었어요! 그리고 특히 이 숙소의 장점은 주변에 정말 맛집이 많다는 거에요 호스트님께서 추천해주신 소점,히비(카레빵),우탕(갈비탕)꼭 가보세요!👍🏻👍🏻 너무 기분좋게 쉬다가 갑니다🤍

Simple, comfortable and perfect in every way. Felt personal and communication with host was perfect. The location is in the heart of the coffee cafes as well.

가구, 향, 소품 하나하나 어우러지는 곳이었습니다! 청결은 말할 것도 없구요~ 체크인 하자마자 크리스마스 선물과 과자, 그리고 직접 써주신 편지가 반겨주어서 너무 감동 받았고 따뜻했어요. 사진으로만 봐도 너무 예뻐서 기대하고 간 숙소였는데, 실제로 보니 더 더 더! 훌륭하고 좋았네요ㅎㅎ 고데기는 없을까봐 가져갔는데 그럴 필요 없었어요! 고데기 있습니다… (심지어 제 거랑 똑같더라고요😆. 치약 종류도 다양해서 재미있었고, 비품이 잘 갖춰져 있어서 재방문한다면 칫솔이랑 스킨로션 정도만 들고 가면 될 것 같아요. 아 그리고, 침대가 정말정말정말 편안했어요! 원래 불면증이 약간 있는데, 여기 침대는 눕자마자 졸려서 곤란할 정도로 잠이 잘 왔어요🥹
숙소로 여기 생각중이시라면 고민하시지 말고 예약하세요~!

Nice place to stay

The vibes here were incredible. Host is extremely thoughtful and the place was so cute. Check in is easy and the host provides really great instructions. Just things to note - I had some trouble getting the hot water to the shower come out and if you don’t plan on sharing the bed, the sofa bed is tiny (still manageable).

진짜 체크인부터 기분 좋았던 숙소는 처음이였던 것 같아요!! 좋아하는 노래와 함께 테이블에 웰컴 까까들이랑 같이 직접 써주신 글과 그림 너무너무 귀엽고 기분 좋았어요🥹🥹 그리고 숙소 청결이 정말 진짜 탑이에요!! 침구류들도 냄새도 좋고 욕실에는 비치해두신 제품들도 히노키 처돌이로서 너무너무 마음에 들었어요 하루만 숙박한게 아쉬울 정도였습니다🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

A lovely, well-decorated 숙소 that’s close to many cute cafes and restaurants. Subway is about a ten minute walk away but there are some bus stops about 6 minutes away.

연남동에서 돌아다니기 정말 좋은 위치에 있고 숙소 침대가 너무 편안해서 좋았어요 :) 왠만한 물품들도 다 준비되어있고 너무 예쁘고 호스트분의 정성이 느껴지는 숙소여서 잘쉬다갑니다🫶🏻

세면도구들 종류별로있어서 너무 좋았고 요리를 하진않았지만 식기류도 넉넉하게 있어서 완-전 맘에들었어요 빔프로젝터있는방도 굿굿 또 가고싶은곳입니당

Our stay here was great and in such a great location in the hip area of Yeonnam-dong! The host took care of us really well and answered all our questions in a timely manner. There were a few small things (a few mosquitoes and ran low on toilet paper) but those things are fixable. The space was really well curated, and my husband and I even enjoyed watching Netflix with the projector screen. Music was top notch and such a vibe! Loved it here!

저 또한 그 후기에 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️을 드립니다!!!

가좌역에서 도보로 이동하기 편한 곳이었어요! 소점을 이용 못한 건 아쉽지만 숙소의 분위기가 사진으로 다 못담아 냈다는 느낌이 들 정도로 좋았어요! 다음에도 꼭 또 이용할 수 있으면 좋겠습니다ㅎㅎ
