Description
Our house was built with love by the Dean of Structural Engineering at Korea University in the 1970s in a German style. We are the second generation owners. There is a grape vine planted in the small yard, and it is one of the few old houses left in Seoul, where only single-family homes live. We tried to preserve the old features as much as possible, and we minimized remodeling, so the fireplace is still there. We, the hosts, live on the first floor, and guests will stay on the second floor. There are three rooms on the second floor with an attic, and we plan to provide a living room and two bedrooms. Since it was originally designed to be a place for one family to live, the laundry room is on the first floor. The washing machine for guests is separate. From the veranda, you can see the mountains in the distance and one side of Seoul. When it rains a lot in the summer, you can see the clear stream water and children playing in the water, and on the way to the subway station, you pass a walking path with a first-class stream flowing, so you can see small fish and ducks. If you go down the walking path, you will see a place that used to be a traditional market, although it is now smaller, and there are now two fairly large markets where you can shop. It is smaller than E-Mart. I like this market where they have much cheaper and fresher vegetables. I can go to Bukhansan National Park with my husband who climbs the Bukhansan trail every morning. If you have a car, it takes 15 to 20 minutes to get to Gwanghwamun via Samcheong Tunnel except during rush hour. Feel Seoul in a quiet residential area near Kookmin University, middle and high schools, and elementary schools.
