Oncheong: Warmth Meets Clarity
Nestled in the heart of Jegi-dong, Cheongnyangni, Oncheong is more than just a stay — it’s a story.
The name combines On (warmth, connection) and Cheong (clarity, purity, and the spirit of Cheongnyangni).
Step inside and you’ll find a traditional Korean hanok infused with modern comfort.
The wooden maru, the small courtyard, and the soft light falling over tiled roofs create a calm retreat in the bustling city of Seoul.
At night, Oncheong glows quietly, offering travelers a space where heritage and modern life harmonize.
It’s not just accommodation — it’s your own chapter in the story of Seoul.

We had a great stay at this Hanok! Everything was nice and everything looked exactly like the photo. There are just a few things to note. The 숙소 is situated near the outskirts of a public market (Gyeongdong Market). It is quite nice as it’s an experience walking through a non touristy market. It’s also only a 7 mins drive to Majang Meat Market which we loved! In saying this, it can be a little loud at night because you can hear deliveries/neighbours up to midnight. Also, one thing to note is bring mosquito repellent when going to South Korea in the summer! I guess staying in a hanok, mosquitos are inevitable. Overall, it was a great stay. Thank you again!
We had a lovely and authentic stay at Jenny’s. Thank you for the quick responses and help when needed! It was a comfortable and charming experience.
Jenny and her team were great hosts. Met us when we checked in to do a walk through of the home. Clean, good internet, good water pressure. Rooms are connected in a way you must walk through the other sleeping areas to the bathroom. The location is local with a large market in walking distance. However, there is not much to do for a younger crowd and 10-15 minutes walk to the train station.
Jenny Kim is a gem of a host. They made staying in the location very welcoming. I didn’t have to reach out for anything. Jenny was very proactive with providing any information needed. We weren’t expecting to be next to a large Market but it was super convenient for shopping. Our family used public transportation the entire visit and found the location not too far from bus and subway routes. The space can get chilly in some rooms. The layout can become challenging when sharing the bathroom but we managed just fine. All in all, I would definitely stay again.
Es war absolut toll und es hat Spaß gemacht etwas in die traditionelle Kultur des Wohnens in Korea eintauchen zu dürfen.
Sehr zu empfehlen.
