Lowest marks the cheapest listed price for the same period. Data allowance differs by plan.
Prices are approximate examples and may change. USIMSA and Airalo figures are estimates (FX/promos apply); LG U+ uses official rates. Outbound roaming products (e.g. Dosirak for Koreans abroad) are not covered here. Confirm final terms on each seller's site.
Before you go (must-read)
eSIM support?Dial *#06# for EID. Phone must be unlocked. Some models (Pixel, OPPO) may be restricted.
When to buy?Online before departure is easiest. Airport counters at Incheon, Gimpo, Gimhae also available.
Data vs voice?Maps/KakaoTalk/translate only = data-only. Local calls/010 needed = Data+Voice plan.
Activation timing?Wi-Fi required. Many plans start the clock at first data use. Some must activate within 60 days of purchase.
Do not deleteDo not casually delete the eSIM—many plans cannot be reissued after deletion.
ID verification (ARC) · Data vs voice
Short-term tourists and long-term residents (ARC) need different products.
Tourist eSIM (passport)
Short visits, passport-based. Enough for maps, KakaoTalk, translate.
PASS / banking / gov ID usually not available
Data-only is most common and cheapest
Need 010/voice? Data+Voice plans (often airport/carrier)
Passport + fixed period, no ARC needed
Resident / MVNO (ARC)
Long stay with ARC. For Korean life and ID verification.
PASS etc. possible on ARC postpaid/MVNO
Data + voice (010) recommended for long stays
Tourist eSIM cannot run banking/PASS apps well
Often needs ARC + payment method
When something goes wrong
If you cannot connect, install over airport Wi-Fi first and do not delete the eSIM casually.
Try in this order
1Install eSIM profile first on airport Wi-Fi or your home line
2Toggle Airplane mode ON/OFF
3Reset network settings
4Reboot device (retry hotspot after reboot)
5Still stuck? Contact seller with order ID, device model, and EID
